Praterie secondarie, xerofile e semi-mesofile, presenti nelle regioni bioclimatiche Mediterranea e Temperata (spesso anche nella variante sub-mediterranea), nei piani bioclimatici a termotipo supramediterraneo o a termotipo da supratemperato superiore a mesotemperato (con optimum nel mesotemperato). Questo ordine vicaria, nell’Appennino centro-meridionale (ad esclusione delle Calabria) l’ordine Scorzonero-Chrysopogonetalia che è prettamente illirico.

Xerophilous and semi-mesophilous secondary grasslands, that occur in the Mediterranean and Temperate bioclimatic regions (often even in the sub-Mediterranean variant), in the supra-Mediterranean and in the upper supratemperate to the mesotemperate thermotypes (with optimum in the mesotemperate). In the central-southern Apennines this order it is the vicariant of the purely Illyrian order Scorzonero-Chrysopogonetalia (with the exception of Calabria).
